-Anthony wraps up recording his second album for Delta Groove Music. This will be a follow up to the critically acclaimed recording-Fifty Shades Of Blues. The new recording features all original compositions by Anthony and features a who's who of great blues musicians-Ronnie Earl, Kid Ramos, Monster Mike Welch guitars; Sugar Ray Rayford, Sugar Ray Norcia, Michelle "Evil Gal" Willson, Brian Templeton, Willie J. Laws, Dennis Brennan-vocals, Willie J. Campbell, Michael Mudcat Ward-bass, Jimi Bott, Marty Richards, Neil Gouvin-drums. Look for a spring 2018 release date.
-For almost 40-years pianist, Hammond organist and composer Anthony Geraci has played behind some of the most influential blues musicians of the 20th century. He is an original member of both Sugar Ray & the Bluetones and Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters, and has been recognized for his contributions on numerous albums by nominations from both the Blues Music Awards and the Grammys.
-Anthony Geraci makes his Delta Groove Music debut with the album Fifty Shades Of Blue along with the Boston Blues All-Stars, the same musicians Geraci has been playing with for parts of the last four decades. They include vocalists Toni Lynn Washington, Darrell Nulisch, Michelle “Evil Gal” Willson and of course Sugar Ray Norcia. The are backed by guitarist “Monster” Mike Welch, bassist Michael “Mudcat” Ward and drummers Marty Richards and Neil Gouvin. For the past seven years, the Pinetop Perkins Foundation has always focused on offering world-class musicians to lead their Master Class Workshop held in Clarksdale, Mississippi each June. The 2017 Workshop Experience will be no exception.
Anthony Geraci, a 2016 and 2017 Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year Award nominee, will be leading the piano workshop. Anthony brings extensive experience to the workshop, having played with many blues legends.
The Foundation’s Master Class Workshop Experience takes place on the grounds of the historic Hopson Plantation and the Shack Up Inn in Clarksdale, the cradle of the blues in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, and runs from June 13-16, 2017. During this time participants will take in a total delta experience which begins with a BBQ meet and greet on Tuesday evening, nightly jams at the Hopson Commissary, and a final show featuring all workshop participants at the famous Ground Zero Blues Club co-owned by Morgan Freeman and Clarksdale Mayor Bill Luckett.
